ISADORA’S BOOKS

WRITTEN UNDER PEN NAME, SEPHE HAVEN

“WITH CANDOR AND HONESTY, SEPHE HAVEN LEADS READERS INTO THE DILEMMAS OF HER LIFE ALONG WITH THE DIFFICULT CHOICE OF TAKING THE PATH OF AN ESCORT“

MY WHORIZONTAL LIFE: AN ESCORT’S TALE

“BOLD, SIZZLING, AND CANDIDLY NARRATED”

New York City. The late 1980s.

On the eve of her graduation from The Juilliard Drama School, Sephe Haven is broke, hopeful, and certain of two things: that she’s destined for a lifelong acting career, and that somewhere in the world, love is waiting for her.

Then in one unforeseen moment, every open door slams shut.

With no money and years of college debt looming, Sephe makes a choice she swears will last only a week. Maybe two. Tops. She starts to work as an escort—just long enough to pay the bills, buy herself time, and get out before it’s too late.

But the deeper she ventures into this forbidden world, the more she discovers that the qualities about her, the “real world” dismissed, are precisely the ones most valued here. And soon, the farther she travels down this unexpected path, the harder it becomes to find her way back.

Written with irresistible wit, refreshing candor, and remarkable compassion, My Whorizontal Life: An Escort’s Tale is far more than a memoir about the escort industry. It is a heartwarming, profoundly moving story about chasing dreams, daring to hold fast to meaning, and discovering that love is not merely a feeling, but a way of being—often found in the unlikeliest places.

This is the story of a gifted young woman who found the wrong life for all the right reasons—and then had to decide whether it was wrong at all.

A Someday Courtesan

“SEPHE HAVEN’S WRITING IS VISCERAL, EMOTIONALLY POTENT, SO BEAUTIFULLY VULNERABLE, AND RAW. I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN.”

A Someday Courtesan is the award-winning prequel to “My Whorizontal Life: An Escort’s Tale” written by Sephe Haven. It’s the devastatingly honest account of the wide-reaching societal impacts on girlhood development and what it means to grow up ‘girl’ in America.

“What do you want to be when you grow up?” “A prostitute!” said no girl ever.

Decades into her life as a secret courtesan, Sephe Haven is asking herself, how did this become my life?

NUTTY & SLUTTY

LIFE ON THE FRINGE

Isadora spent most of her adult life as a professional escort and even became the “number one” escort in the U.S.  Janine has bipolar disorder and has been hospitalized seven times.  In Nutty (Janine) & Slutty (Isadora), this unlikely duo talks about how they both learned to hide. Janine hid her mind from the world and Isadora hid her body and career.  Empowered by friendship, Isadora and Janine pull back the curtain on sex work, mental health and the secrets women carry.  Once pushed to the fringe of society, Nutty and Slutty are now taking charge — creating a safe place for authentic conversations that may encourage you to step out, speak up and share.
